Water sensors are available as independent deployments, or most commonly as an addition to existing Direct-C installations. Not to be confused with produced water, these water sensors monitor the presence of water and are typically used in SubSenseTM installations for below-ground pipelines or BermSenseTM installations for berms.
Monitoring groundwater levels or water in general is especially critical for infrastructure with known corrosion, areas prone to flooding and mitigating product loss in general. Nanocomposite sensors are unable to detect liquid hydrocarbons when the sensors are fully submerged in water, therefore it can be essential to monitor water levels.
Temperature Monitoring Sensors
Similar to other sensors, temperature sensors can also be deployed independently or as an addition to existing Direct-C installations. Operators set their designated operating threshold and when the temperature drops below this threshold, alerts are sent to their dashboard instantly. This real-time data is especially critical for areas that sustain below-freezing temperatures for long periods of time as those conditions can often be inoperable for liquid hydrocarbons.

Each monitoring system can be installed and fully-commissioned within minutes. Depending on the asset and areas of interest, installation times will vary slightly.
